Senior executive managing joint-stock companies and public entities, with many years of experience in strategic management, international negotiations, and the implementation of national and EU-funded projects.<\/p>\n
Before taking up the post of President of the Management Board (CEO) of the Upper Silesian Fund, he served as Vice President of the Management Board of the Katowice Special Economic Zone (2017\u20132025), where he was responsible, among other things, for implementing the Polish Investment Zone in the province and for investment support services for zone investors. From 2014 to 2017 he was the First Deputy Mayor at Sosnowiec City Hall, responsible, among other things, for municipal investments as well as the city\u2019s development and promotion. He had previously been associated with Sosnowiec City Hall (2006\u20132009) as the Mayor\u2019s Plenipotentiary for Development and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n
He also gained professional experience as Deputy Director at the Silesian Entrepreneurship Center in Chorz\u00f3w (2014) and as President of the Management Board of the Regional Fund for Eco-Development in Bielsko-Bia\u0142a (2006\u20132009). He also worked as a junior inspector at the Marshal\u2019s Office of the Silesian Voivodeship, responsible for programming and developing European funds. He began his professional career as an entrepreneur running a training company.<\/p>\n
Mateusz Ryka\u0142a is the Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Tramwaje \u015al\u0105skie S.A. in Katowice. He previously chaired the Supervisory Board of the Pediatric Center in Sosnowiec and sat on the supervisory boards of MPGK \u015awi\u0119toch\u0142owice and TBS Centrum in B\u0119dzin.<\/p>\n
He is a graduate of the University of Silesia, Faculty of Social Sciences. He also completed postgraduate studies in management at the Polish Agency of Entrepreneurship \/ Humanitas University. Since 2019 he has held the Master of Business title (WSB Academy \/ EY Academy).<\/p>\n
He is interested in culture, running, and foreign languages. He is fluent in English and Italian, and also speaks French and Russian.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/button>\n <\/h2>\n\n <\/div>\n

By education, a political scientist, professionally, among others, a member of the K\u0142obuck District Board and since 2024, a District councillor, chairperson of the Budget Committee. Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, he has served as the District Coordinator of Humanitarian Aid.<\/p>\n
From 2019 to 2023, he was the deputy director of the District Labour Office in K\u0142obuck. From 2017 to 2019, he was the chairperson of the Local Action Group \u201cGreen Apex of Silesia\u201d and from 2016 to 2018, the director of the Rehabilitation, Educational, and Upbringing Centre in Hutka. In his professional career, he also worked at the Mazovian Business Development Incubator, Agro-technika SA, the Upper Silesian Regional Development Agency, and the Youth Career Center.<\/p>\n
He was also a collaborator with Telewizja Polska (TVP 2 and TVP Polonia) as a producer of many educational programmes on culture and the publisher of the magazine\u00a0 \u201cRegions\u201d \u2013 a socio-cultural quarterly.<\/p>\n
Currently, he serves as the Vice-President of the Management Board of Fundusz G\u00f3rno\u015bl\u0105ski S.A. in Katowice.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/button>\n <\/h2>\n\n <\/div>\n

She has been professionally associated with the Silesian Voivodeship since the beginning of her professional career. Before taking up the position of vice-president of the Management Board of the Upper Silesian Fund, she worked on the management boards of many companies, among others D\u0105browskie Wodoci\u0105gi (2019-2024), Local Development Agency (2017-2018), Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Katowice (2014-2017), “Warta” sewage treatment plant in Cz\u0119stochowa (2013-2014).<\/p>\n
Sits on the Supervisory Boards of the following companies: Tyski Sport and Koleje \u015al\u0105skie.<\/p>\n
For many years associated with the B\u0119dzin local government (2003-2013), where she performed various functions – from an independent clerk in the Civil Rights Department of the City Hall, through deputy head in the Department of Culture and Sports Promotion of the District Office in B\u0119dzin, to head of the Department of Promotion and Social Communication, Spokesman of the Municipal Office in B\u0119dzin.<\/p>\n
A graduate of the University of Silesia – Faculty of Law and Administration. She also completed postgraduate studies in communication and promotion and human resources management at this university. Since 2016, he has had an MBA (Master of Business Administration) diploma.<\/p>\n
