The majority of financial services provided by the Upper Silesian Fund are loans granted to business entities from the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise sector under various loan programmes.

The Upper Silesian Fund is a leading provider of preferential loans with very low interest ra- tes, designed to support the growth of entrepre- neurs in the region. This task was completed by, among others, the Silesian Loan Fund and the Silesia’2020 Loan Fund.

The ‘Launch your business, we will help you achieve success’ programme offered a distinctive form of support to individuals launching new businesses. Thanks to this support, over 600 new businesses were successfully launched. In response to market demand during the difficult period of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Upper Silesian Fund implemented funds from BGK from 2020 onwards. The POIR Regional Liquidity Loan Funds were designed to maintain the liquidity of Silesian and Opole entrepreneurs.

In 2023, the liquidity support offer was extended to entrepreneurs who have been adversely affected by the economic consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

In previous years, the Fund for Silesia programme was implemented, helping to create more than 2,500 new jobs and sustain another 10,000.

In 2023, the Upper Silesian Fund provided finan- cial support to companies in the SME sector to a total value of over EUR 22,5 million, while between 2004 and 2023, the Fund granted 3,027 loans to 2,660 companies in the SME sector to the value of EUR 209 million.

The Upper Silesian Fund is the operator of program- mes offering entrepreneurs financial support from public funds, including investment loans, working capital loans, start-up loans and innovative investments through projects such as the Regional Loan Fund and the Regional Investment Loan Fund.

The fund offers preferential innovative loans of up to PLN 1 million and commercial working capital and investment loans of up to EUR 143000. Our loans can be used as a contribution to most subsidy programmes for enterprises.
